How To Make Green Bean Casserole In The Microwave

Vacation food is soothing and satisfying; however not everybody has the time or the methods to make the stuffing, Brussels sprouts with bacon, or butternut squash. Don't worry. In between packing for finals and singing Christmas carols with anticipation, attempt taking ten minutes to make yourself a vacation staple: green bean casserole.

This dish is made fast, easy, and leaves space for your individual choices. Trade out the traditional French fried onions topping for bread crumbs if you are on a health kick. If you are looking for a fuller taste, you can include a little minced onion. Whatever you are trying to find, try it out and make it your own.

COMPONENTS

  • cans cream of mushroom soup (2)
  • c. milk (1)
  • soy sauce (1 tsp)
  • ground black pepper (1/4 tsp.)
  •  c. canned green beans or pre-boiled/blanched green beans (8)
  • 1/2 c. Fried onions (2)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Stir the soup, soy sauce, milk, black pepper, beans and 1 1/3 cups onions in a 3-quart casserole.
  2. Heat it in the microwave for 6 to 8 minutes, or up until heated up through.
  3. Sprinkle the remaining onions. Heat for a few more seconds to warm the onion topping.
